"Dear Ann:

I want to thank you for the telephone interview to discuss the Director of Finance position. After hearing about the company and the responsibilities of the position, I am very excited about the prospect of working at XYZ Healthcare. My qualifications are well-matched with the position, and I have a real interest in healthcare and the area. My experiences in healthcare finance and the organizational and communication skills I have gained throughout my career are my strongest attributes. I feel they would enable me to make a strong contribution to XYZ Healthcare. Again, thank you for the interview and your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you. Please feel free to call me at 123-456-7890 if you have any further questions."

The following is a letter written to the CFO of the same facility by the same candidate, in response to her second interview with the company.

"Dear Mr. XXXX:

“Enthusiastic” is how I feel about the position of Director of Finance in your department after my interview with you today. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to speak with me. I am confident that I would quickly become a productive member of your team. Your own personal testimonial about XYZ Healthcare only fueled my excitement.

I have a wealth of experience in healthcare finance and in particular I can bring to the table excellent communication and organizational skills. My experiences with physicians, department managers and the executive team will enable me to accomplish the objectives and goals of XYZ Healthcare. I would like to emphasize that I am very interested in being your next Director of Finance.
